hmmm. Its interesting that we bring this point up. I can see most of the sides presented;
I was very thankful this morning for being relatively healthy and able. tired nonetheless, but able!
I see so many people everyday and the challenges they face that are outwardly shown.
The whole talk of depression is something that isn't necessarily always visible outward challenge. But doesn't it still exist?
For whatever reason, weather/job/finances/family/lack of direction/loneliness etc, these things definitely affect us all and differently.
we don't face nearly half the challenges that others in this world face, but we cannot discount the feelings we have. I agree it is necessary to be thankful often times and not down all the time. but many have pointed out interesting points to validate the gloom.
Cheer up Everyone! I wish I were there to spread a smile or two : )
I am too tired to think or write - I wish I had more energy; (e:Dan), I agree with an earlier post of yours...the working amongst the regulars..
oh one more thing to be thankful for: My aunt and uncle are coming to spend Thanksgiving Day with me. Last year I went on strike from my local buffalo family and refused to cook or entertain as I felt I was being taken advantage of. I stayed home in my pj's all day; watched the parade; talked to some crazy dudes, and watch Auntie Mame while eating leftover pasta. oh so lame o licious. this time, a year later, life is different; whether in small or big increments-I will embrace it.
enough rambling-i get quite delusional when exhaustion kicks in...
nighty night

another day another 23+ dollars spentso I finally made my trek a pied to the infamous "7 ELEVEN"
(i ran out of cheese let alone all other foods) Most exciting part,
aside from the feel of the cool air lifting me along, is that they sell
WINE!!! so lets calculate: Japanese Sushi/Teriyaki Bar next door,
Home Depot across the street(the new designed HD & no I am not talking about a certain person I am referring to the actual store for all of those who know what the reference means) 7 Eleven that sells wine and champagne, all within a stones throw.
The walk felt good - its totally different from the commute. the commute sucks-pushing and shoving, racing for a seat and exhorbent fare cost. give me a stroll anytime. I wish I could just stroll to work everyday. correction - stroll everywhere w/the occasional strut!!!
(e:Twisted) I need to obtain a camera phone. There is so much I wish I could document during the day without whipping out the big brick (sony mavica) Like yesterday there was some weird evacuation from my bldg. no one knew what was going on; the alarm is going off, the fire trucks are wheeling around the corner, and the people just "mosey" out the bldg like there is no possibility of threat. I wish I could have captured that moment amonst others. Keep up the wonderful pics!
~Thank Heaven for 7 Eleven is what my receipt says~
