TIME & Holidays
still unpacking. kitchen=1 box left; bedroom=too many!!! empty boxes=everywhere!!! sigh...

Is it too early to start my frivolous holiday wish list? the sights and snow flakes from Buffalo are inspiring me:

1) Mp3 player (pink mini ipod or a cute rio) need some tunes to boogie to while commuting!
2) digital camera still on the list (canon please santa or whoever)
3) money is always acceptable
4) flat screen pc monitor - this one is functional yet ultra bulky - furniture must be streamlined in smaller living spaces
5) new car w/sunroof cd player tires w.hubcaps engine/transmission that is reliable
6) shoes (imagirl)
7) money to buy roundtrip ticket to see family @ christmas
8) can anyone say a tv that is bigger than micro mini one...
9) a presidential agenda that is acceptable to all (wishful thinking)
10) world peace still makes the top ten

time to let the sweet dreams tea do its magic - although last night I had a cup & had the craziest dreams. lots of people I didn't know and places; flying cars and stuff.

100 short thoughts
Can this post continue for days to come? how about the rest of the week???
I thought the 100th post would be something profound - overflowing with deep, self explanation & exposure of southernyankee. oh well. there goes a bright idea.
I won't complain too much, except I have an early curfew: Yes boys and girls the night owl must retire by 10pm (last night it was 9pm) Adjusting to morning rush hour sucks! Boy do I miss those days of going into work @ noon (& hung over on most of them!)
No siree, can't pull that off here (at least not yet) j/k
super sleepy am I. no time to unpack today - time to crash. bundle up Buffalo - I dedicate to you"Baby It's Cold Outside" by Rod Stewart feat Dolly Parton from the new album Stardust, The Great American Song Book Vol III (even though I like some of the other versions better)

I hope everyone is still around to fight against the crazy local govt. there+. No public libraries? Buffalo doesn't need access to books -just more bars!!! It will be the new locale for breeding illiterate hooligans who could challenge capt. morgan any day! It's really a shame that things have progressed this bad.

I watched my local town board meeting on tv here & one of the citizens' biggest complaint was to ensure the city govt had some say so in what color to paint "Grandmas Cottage" - he went on to say that it should not be painted chartreuse, hot pink or any other color that would signify same sex partners(not the term he used).... WTF? since when does the color of your house send out batman like signals that you like the same sex or anything other than your lack of coordination of color scheme? I love chartreuse and hot pink! I personally like the opposite sex(on a good day that is...) but what the heck does that have to do with anything. same dude thought it appropriate to wear a slogan t-shirt to this public hearings (anti-abortion it read in so many words) - whatever. this isn't said to open a can of arguments on the site based on which side of the fence you vote on or where your moral values fall between the red/blue lines but the point being made (all while I fall asleep) is that I felt he represented so many more Americans and how they feel that they are right (right up the ally of the pres) in what they believe in and that laws should be enacted to protect his feelings/opinions.
Laws should be there to protect us from danger, etc but not from our neighbors way of life that in no way infringes on my life;

personally can't stand hate. Hate for the things that you cannot change about yourself or others. I sat next to a man on the long train ride home and could feel his levels of discomfort rise...
get over it. we live in a world where people are from different cultures, have different ideas, practice different religions, and so forth...

you were born into this world the way you are for a reason. if we had control over how/who/what we are - I wonder how that would turn out? I really think we would be the same way in a lot of ways (maybe a little different - I doubt anyone would pick the option to be a slave)

I have totally digressed in a major way and its waaaaaaaaaay past night night time. sorry for going off on a obscure tangent. later
