THEECAREY'S PARTY
Category: birthdays
Wow... what a night! My bestest friend (e:theecarey)'s party turned out to be a total success! It was great meeting everyone who made it! :)

Thanks so much to all of you who made the trek from far-away lands to help her celebrate!!! :)

I have lots of pics... here are some highlights:

The cake no one would dare to eat.

But they certainly did have fun playing with it!

Don't poke your eye out! (part of (e:theecarey)'s gag gift from moi! My b-day is in 3 weeks... I just know she is going to one-up me....as usual.. lol)

She's wanted that Warrant CD for years! LMAO

(e:Leetee) and (e:Uncutsaniflush)

S'Mores virgin deflowered!

(e:ladycroft) & (e:Leetee) stirring up more party-goers! (and doing naughty things on the sofa)

Self-explanitory :) ((E:ladycroft), I keep looking at these and hearing "Duggga Dugga Dugga Dugg-Ga..... Uhhhhhhhh" in my head. LOL)

All the (e:peeps) came late, so they must have missed this warning sign...

And this was the result:

I can't handle going to a party in my own woods. So there is no way that I will make it. So off to hell it is. Hope everyone else has a blast.

I just looked at my daughter (who will be 13 in March) and exclaimed, "Good God, you are old!" lol

She hid her face w/ her shirt. I know how she feels. ha ha

The advice roulette wheel....
Category: rant
I hate it when people come to you with a problem and then ask you, "What would you do?"

It seems that, usually, they are not actually looking for what you would do in the situation, but rather what you think they should do.

Then, when you tell them what you would do if you were in their shoes, you get a rebuttal. (usually something like, "Yeah, but....blah blah blah..." where they give you a whole new set of crap to try to get you to change your response) Meaning that they actually took it as YOU TELLING THEM WHAT THEY SHOULD DO and they don't want to do it.

If they were actually asking for what YOU would do in said situation, there would be no room for a rebuttal, would there? They would take what you say at face value and see how they could apply your take on the situation to their final action.

  • sigh*

People just need to say what they mean. :)

Sometimes they really do need to give you more details becuse there is a reason in there mind why that won't work. Then sometimes they just want you to say what they where going to do, that way it justifies them doing what they are going to do. But I can understand why that drives you insane.

First post :)
Been on here for a bit and forgot to post! Hmm.. what to put in an initial post?

Probably just the everyday stuff....
I'm Dana, 29, living in Lewiston currently, mom to one 12 yr old kiddo, 4 cats and a newly adopted rat.

I'm pretty laid back (sometimes TOO much), fun and friendly. I have an ever-changing sense of humor. Dry, dark, goofy, witty, sarcastic and everything in-between. :)
Love meeting new people, hanging out w/ friends, talking forever, coming up w/ new excuses to get sushi on a daily basis, random adventures and good times. :)

Recently lost my job and am searching desperately for one at the moment, feeling like a big ol' loser :)

In the next 5 years I would like to get back into school and finish something for once, perhaps buy a house somewhere, settle back and have another.....20 or so cats ;)

I am all about the excuses to eat sushi. Maybe we should have a sushi party! Jason can bring the waitress.
