I cannot belive this realThe US Senate on Wednesday, March 16, 2005, voted to open the Alaska wildlife refuge to oil drilling. ...
I remember when I was younger, everyone would talk about alaskan oil - would they ever drill in alaska? We always assumed they would either rape and pillage the rest of the world or come up with a new source of energy. This is probably the biggest sign that our civilization is truly in decline. Next we are going to end up testing nuclear weapons on our own people. Oh wait we actually did that too. History of Las Vegas

On state matters it is interesting to note that the Nevada Test Site is located about 65 miles northwest of the City of Las Vegas . . . Prior to the signing of the Limited Test Ban Treaty on August 5, 1963, which effectively banned atmospheric testing of nuclear weapons, the Department's predecessor agencies conducted more than 1,100 nuclear tests at the Nevada Test Site.

More pics from the science museumYou all need to go check out the Steve Gerberich show at the science museum
. Whoever does their site, props top you, it is actually quite nice looking.
The science museum is actually quite a curious place for this exhibit, as it seems more of an art museum kind of show. It is all about electronics and collections. Each piece seems to have some sort of commentary. For example the cow one, everything seems to have to do with the cattle trade including an electronic businessman with $ for eyeballs. His work, is actually quite entertaining and definitely larger than life.

For those of you that haven't been to the science museum in a while, the bug room is gone :(
Here are some more pics from the Geberich exhibit. My sidekick is working again, let's see how long that lasts.
