After watching this insane movie about a silent actress who went crazy on her gigolo I got busy coding and came up with lots of site improvements. You guys should notice major speed increases. Also, when it snows, the site snows, when not then no snow - thanks to the national Weather Service. The web cam is at the top.
Scroll Bars and Resize
Best of all the journal now automatically resizes as the window does so that you no longer have to double scroll. Double scrolling sucked, I am so glad it's over.
Spell Check
I update the spell check, it is way better than before. I would say that it is officially marketable whatever that means. If you know someone who want to buy it for use on forms with their site I can work on licensing it out.
Chat Commands
The chat commands are faster, simply type help in the chat window under the search box to find out what the commands are

New Updates en Masse11/12/2004 13:50 #31424
Buffalo Coalition for Progressive MediaLast year I helped out design a web page for the BCPM when they were trying to bring Democracy Now to the buffalo airways. I made the interface so the guy in charge could just login and update the copy without having o do any FTP, web programming, etc.
The best part about our site was the brochure that (e:falling4autumn) had made
. It was really professional but they gave me so much grief about it. That is why I quit working with them. Besides that it boiled down to a room full of white men and I felt there was enough white man that I didn't have to be there.
The site seems to have been remade by someone else now, so I thought I would put up a historical reference here before my version is gone. Right now both sites are on the server. Here is the old site, which can still be found here

Here is the new site
which mysteriously still has my old logo at the bottom, although I had nothing to do with the new site. I gotta see about getting it removed.

Julie's partyWe headed out to (e:churchofjulie) 's cand Carolyn Tennet's birthday part tonight. It was pretty fun although I couldn't say at (e:churchofjulie) 's because of the cats. Luckily, her and carolyn live in the same building an dcorlyn had no cats. Someday I will actually end up hanging out with (e:churchofjulie)
I have some pictures I think, I will send them in the morning altough I think they are all of objects and not people.

Globe Market ThursdaysYummy tasty globe market. Today we brought (e:terry) with us to globe market. I decided on a great test about anthozoa being animals. Would any of you vegans eat a anenome?
I order some italian egg soup and a sandwich. This is always my favorite lunch of the week, although each week it get more and more crowded.

Coral Polyps are Animals as are Anenomes [inlink]terry,353[/inlink]
I can't believe that you are even questioning this without fully understanding the situation. You definitely do not have nay background in biology and are starting to "classify" things based on phenotype (patterns they physically express instead) of their genotype (genetic makeup which defines their relationships to others). Note, this is the same kind of biology the nazis used to classify the jews as separate animals. And that relying on genetic relationships can work. Just as by looking at a kid you cannot determine his parents, you can determine them more absolutely using genetic testing.
Corals Polyps are animals, just like anemones:
ANIMALS:. They have locomotive ability (without growth requirement), no chloroplasts, no cell wall, heterotrophic (eat others).
PLANTS: Not locomotive (without growth), have chloroplasts, autotrophic.
Baby coral polyps are not like seeds, they don't just float but rather have their own locomotive ability, just like anemones they can move on whim. The reason for the misunderstanding with coral using photosynthesis, is that tiny algae live in their colonies which they get energy from. It is similar to the symbiotic relationship we have with e. coli in our intestines, yet no one would argue that having bacteria help us digest food makes a bacteria, right?
Can one of you biology freaks back me up?
PS terry the tree isn't even a colony. It is an actual full scale multi-organed animal. Just look up anthozoa (GOOGLE - anthozoa) And one last thing, the coral reefs of today did develop until the time of the dinosaurs so they are not some sort of pro-animal, but rather just an evolution of one.
