Scripting in Discoland
I spent about 12 hours in SL today. I decided to master scripting and write about it for this review I am doing. I ended up finsihing my disco script.

image
Currenly, it works like this. The user clicks on a giant admission bracelet and then receives a mini wearable bracelet. Thereafter, everytime the user clicks on the disco ball , while wearing the mini admission bracelet, their avatar does one of a series of 10 dances.

Its great to watch everybody dance in sync with each other. It made us look like a boy band.

Missing Image ;(

I hope that some people start designing a disco soon for our event test/quiz!!! I expect to see at leats 50 avatars come to it. So we need modelres to start getting our party going. If anyone els ewould liek to work on the scripts, I would like to teach someone about it.

Rosa Parks
She is cute. She changed history. This is the kind of person that we need more of. FOr those of you that don't rememeber, Rosa Parks is the lady that refused to ride on the back of the segregated bus system and got arrested.

Quote from the The
Troy State University Montgomery
Rosa Parks Library and Museum Site

"On December 5, 1955, four days after her arrest, Mrs. Parks was found guilty and the Montgomery bus boycott began. In response to her conviction, the African-American community in Montgomery boycotted the city bus line. Instead they walked or banded together to organize alternate transportation. The boycott continued strong until 381 days later when the United States Supreme Court ruled the segregation of bus service to be unconstitutional."

I question if this kind of tactic would work here in Buffalo, if ever used for any reason. Not that the buses are segregated, I just mean that if anyone boycotted public transportation for any reason, I think they would just shut it down. That's sad, there is no leverage anymore.

On another note, TK told me that during his school days, the buses were still segragated, albeit, voluntarily. My question is "WWRD?"

Elmwood Radio
We have had some pretty nice programming on elmwood radio for the past three days.
1. "The Model Sons"
2. "Kimya"
3. "The SUN Project"
4. "Matthew's Radio Drama Show"
4. "Elllen Degeneres"

Unfortunetaly, we have had only one listeners during the whole thing. This is exactly what hapend to the radio last year. We were really excited and then no one listened, so I am questioning, if it is to difficult to useor is the programming uninteresting?

I have offered to start a radio show for anyone interested. It can be pre-recorded or live. Pretty much it can be anything you want, music, talk, etc.

I am totally surprised that nobody is taking me up on this offer. It seems incredible that we have access to such great streaming technology on our server, and nobody wants to use it. I just want to why and not the letter Y, hahaha.

Facial Poses
During my time away from school and work, I have had time to work on the VR art project I am modeling for. I am making some facial poses for the masks. Youc can see them below. The programmer will code it so that when the character changes emotional state, as per the AI, the facial expression of the mask will change and itnerpolate from the last pose to the new one, making it look really emotionally provacative. At least I think so, we will have to see what it really looks like in the end.

Excellent Student Work
Category: school
On another note, I was pleasantly surpised with the work of one of my student's work. They created a really nice shower scene for their homework assignment this week. Here are the images they rendered out for their class journal. In case you know her, it was Jennifer Perry.
