-dan slowly opens his thoughts-
So in just under 16 and a half hours the band will make it's debut with a drummer, to a select audience of friends and family at my new apartment. Bill, Jay and I had a quickie jam today to try and figure out some endings and figure out which songs we're going to play, looks like the set list will be
Sunshine
Now
Micheal Shea's
Kate
hills of tomorrow
UVO (ultra-vection-oven jam)
Bitter End
I'd like to do them in that order too, but I guess we'll talk about that later today.
eh I have nothing else to write

Jay comes out of hiding What's up everyone! Sorry I hav'net wrote anything in a while I just never get around to it. So Nick (the drummer) kicks ass!!!! He brings in unbelievable drum beats and almost complete's the songs. Real cool guy too, Thumbs up all around!! Anyway I guess we are playing Saturday, I'm all for it, it's just when Dan showed me the flyer I was taken back by the thought of him posting them all over town. A momentary lapse of confidence that I to often encounter. My bandmates commented that the new song is great.... I could'nt agree more. It's all come together so quickly. As soon as I can figure out how to down load a sound bite(?) I want everyone to hear it. Even if our kind of music is'nt your thing I think that this song has something about it that everyone can like or relate to. I really look forward to hearing feedback. Well it's time for me to go back to work but hopefully soon I can come back to everyone with some audio. Later

Playing my party-Dan jumps in-
Thought I'd update this while I still have the caffeine coursing through my veins. Nick came over and jammed again tuesday and I thought it was a really good session. I mentioned about having a get-together (party) on saturday to him, and he was all about playing it. He figured we could probably do a 5 song set or something. I know we have at least 4 songs down. We never worked on the endings on a couple of them, but i think we could probably squeak out another 2 or three songs after that four. So as long as nick feels comfortable doing it, I'm down with it.
When I showed Jay the flyer I was going to pass out at work, he was a little taken a back. He was like... oh we're really gonna play . I thought it was a given, we had been talking about playing it, even if we didn't have a drummer. I'm going to be the nervous one because these are all my friends and co-workers, especially the co-workers, these people have no idea who I am. It's like that mtv's "diary of dan", "...you think you know but you have no idea".
I hope bill realizes we are playing.... 8* ;)

Happy Birthday Dan!!!Nick
Dan
Billy says:
Saturday was way cool. Some of our close friends stopped by to listen to the band play. Also in attendance were some neighbors down the street and the Buffalo Police Department. Oh well, we shut the garage door and played loud anyway. Dan had a great birthday including not remembering half the night and vomiting. Nothing says "You're a year older!" better than the smell of porcelin at 6 o'clock in the morning and bruises all over your right arm.

Whoa!! I was rocking out with the bass. Don't remember that picture...I'm begining to think I'm an alcoholic, I mean the two pictures you put up of me I'm drunk...yet no pictures of bill. We will have to work on that. Jay has the story about the cops, he's the one that talked to them. It was cool though bunch of neighbors rocking out. Unfortunatly no one got the hot chicks across the street to come over...geez if someone told me they were out I would've made a drunken attempt at getting them over.

Innovative Soloing Billy says:
I hate most solo guitar. I hate the blues and 80's rock killed my desire to be anything more than a rhythm guitarist. Now I am challenged to become one because Jay's style of writing almost demands it. My promise to the band and our soon to be fans: I pledge never to write a corny solo, I will not make my guitar sound like it's talking, barking, screaming or laughing. My style right now is more of playing a backround melody that amplifies the rhythm of the song and does not simply play over it. I hope my bandmates are with me on this and understand that the development of me into a soloist was not what I was expecting when I joined up, so be patient.
ps. The new song definitely kicks some serious ass.
