As of today, you can now publish (beta software) from anywhere that you have access to an email client, including cell phones! You simply need to send an email to blogme at elmwoodstrip.com I am intentionally writing it without the @ symbol so that spam bots don't sent it email from the site.

The email needs to have the subject blogme You also need to format the body in a specific way. The body should look like this.

$your username$your password$the title you want$the entry$

You need to make sure to have the $'s in the email or it will get rejected. You are able to attach one file under 100k. The file can be a wav, mp3, jpg, gif, or swf The attached file will be included in the entry. Here [inlink]paul,893[/inlink] is an example entry that was sent from my phone.

Test it out, we will soon start a faces of elmwood journal for lots of on the street images.

I condensed the site to save on screen space. hopefully this will help all of you with smaller monitors. I will be working an a total redesign soon. Also, I fixed the userSound. So now you can all start uploaading your sounds to get rid of the horrible default sound. Email me if there are any problems.

I would like to continue to suggest that everybody advertise for the site in whatever way they can. I mean, the more people we have writing, the more interesting it is for us be here. The only thing I ask is that if you create any sort of advertisement that you post a digital copy of it here to the site for evrryone to see. For example [inlink]paul,771[/inlink]

There are many new updates in an effort to accomodate people with smaller screens and to integrate the control panel right into your journal. Email paul if you have any problems.

WRITING ENTRIES - To write a journal simply log in and type the entry right into your journal. To add media use the form at the bottom of the journal entry.

AUDIO BLOGS/UPLOADING MEDIA - Simply use the form provided at the bottom of the Click-publish journal area. It accepts .swf .jpg .gif .wav and .mp3 More file types will be added soon. This means you can now post audio blogs. Check out the example on my journal [inlink]paul,756[/inlink]

USERPIC/SND - To change your userPic or userSound, use the button provided under your userPic when you log in.

LINKS/FAV FIVE - To edit your links/fav five click on the pen icons that appear next to them on your journal once you log in.
