CamarasCategory: politics
[inlink]metalpeter,406[/inlink] Not sure if this really falls into the catogory of political or not. Maybe it is NFTA but not sure. In a previous journal I metioned I read an article in The Buffalo News, well I remembered what it was. It was about how the NFTA has camaras all over the place. But it was more then just about them it was about how there are camaras all over the place. It was about is it a violation ofprivacy. It was also brought up the point that there should be some goverenig body to make sure that there isn't abuse and that currently there arn't really anylaws about what is done with that footage after words. One lady was upset about the Half & Half web came because you arn't notified that there is one there and she claimed that she came out the dressing rooms a couple of times with just panites on. (note to self go hang out in half and half or watch the cam). Business owners said that cams are a deterant to crime. I found the article verry interesting.
The other night I watche a report I think on 20/20 about parents spying on there kids with camaras in there rooms or with GPS units in there cars. That was an interesting piece. It seems like a good Idea to make sure your kids are safe on the internet and arn't getting into trouble it can be a deterant. But one of the problems is that it breaks down trust. I know some experts thought it was a bad idea becuae you arn't dealing with the real issues. I found it verry interesting, espically the spy shop place that was very cool.

Ying YangCategory: estrip
I like that in the chat when you send something and it is thinking you get a spinning Ying Yang. I like that symbol. I forget the exact meaning of it but know the basics. That Male has a little female, Female has a little male, Evil has a little good, good has a little evil. It is about balance and that two opposites have a little bit of there opposite in them. It is part of eastern thought and confusionism from what I remeber. The ying yang is used in a few adds. My favorite Soda/ Pop Pepsi uses its own version of the Ying Yang and a Cigeratte company might be Salem uses it also. There might be some other companies that I don't know about that use it also. I have to admit I also like all the therme choices. I don't have a favorite really. I think the Amerika theme was the best but maybe it was because it said made in china I found that funny.[bgcolor]#eefff7[/bgcolor]

Marine Drive In the artvoice or as
(e:jason) would call it one of the shit rags I read an interesting story about the marine drive apartments as asbestos. I admit i didn't get it all but it was still interesting.
I read a story in the paper that I wanted to write about but kinda blanked on the facts, I think it was in todays papper. There may have been to articles. But the one I remember was about the Casino possibly beeing bulit in downtown. First of all I Didn' get a chance to read about the anti casino people meeting with canidates for mayor. The article had to do with eminentant domain and how often people who go to Casinos don't spend money on places out side of the casino. I think that with good promoting that wouldn't be true. I know some casino's have there own entertainment. But I think that if some Bars and businesses that warn't in the casino advertised then people might go to them. I think you could have good sports and casino packages and or promotions. It would be nice for a casino to be in downtown Buffalo because it would bring more people to the city and maybe some people from the Buffalo suburbs into. Part of the article did mention that they need to be creative and maybe have slots on chip strip. I think a cool Idea depending on where the casino winds up being is a Buffalo shuttle service from some of the bars to the casino and from HSBC arena to the casino. That would also encourage people from the casino to go to other things in Buffalo. I'm not a gambler but If I where to go to Vegas or the Fallsview resort casino. I wouldn't want to only gamble. What if I lost all my money before it was time to sleep. I know there are a few tours of Buffalo it would be cool if they could be advertised in the casinos. I know somepeople are really for the casinos and some are really opposed to them. I think if done right it could be a real boost to buffalo and maybe if really done right it could spawn some more delopment downtown. I wish the Rich stadium was downtown. I think a water front stadium like Cleveland would be awesome. I don't know if you can have sports beting at indain casinos. But if you can that would be cool. We could all bet on the bills to lose to teams they where better then and bet on them to lose to teams that are better then them and we would lose all our money. The point I'm trying to get to is that if promotions are done right the casino (if it ever happens) could be verry good for buffalo. Check out the Buffalonews for the article.

tired At work I fill orders. I do mostly smaller orders that go ups and fed ex. Some of our orders are bigger then some of the small truck orders in terms of weight. Then I process them. There are also orders that go by trucks. Orders with oxy are heavy. I'm not the only one who does line orders. But today we had a lot of line and truck orders so I'm a bit tired. Plus my co worker had to leave for part of the day. So for some of the time I was filling the orders boxing them doing the paper work then using the software to send them UPS and FED EX wich includes pallettizing them also, by myself. Today I was not Happy. Our boss/co worker helped out on the line when he could. Tommarow is going to suck to. I like what I'm doing but some times I have to listen to heavy music to cope with the stress. It can really help sometimes. My job isn't stressfull intself it is just that in the back of your head you know they pay more for the same work at other companies. The other factor is you want to get all the work done but sometimes there is just to much. Don't get me wrong some overtime is nice. But it would also be nice if we didn't have to do it to get everything done. But you can't work to late otherwise you are no longer effective. I may be back on complaining again on thursday but it is payday and on saturday I'm going to the fair I hope it is nice.
paul speaks the truth.
my parents are nearing the end of their divorce, but, about a year ago, when it was just starting, my dad put gps on my mother's truck to track where she was going so he could use it against her in court. a few months later, i bought the truck from my mother and asked my dad to take it out, which he said he did.
well, things went on normally for a bit, until one morning her bursts into my room and screams, "What were you doing out in getzville this morning at 4 am??"
So yeah. that was June, so he took the car away until school starts, and then I can only use it for school, until my next report card (November), at which interval he will make his decision.
not that my father and i have ever had a trusting relationship but, regardless to say, he is now one of my least favorite people... ever. i mean, i'm a kid, so i'm gonna fuck up, but he did much more serious damage.
I did see that movie if it is the one I remember it ends with the two of them swimming out togather and the one guy is always cleaning up stuff that could expose his DNA its hard to remember.
In the one case the kid did know about it. The other case A father had software that tracked every click her daughter made and sent one of kids she I'med and email or joked like he did warn't sure if it was true. They did show some video of kids who didn't know about the cams drinking alcohol. I can understand why parents who belive there kids will do stuff that they don't aprove of want to keep track of them. But one of kids points was that there parents came out ok with out being snooped on.
I know some phones have GPS chips in them and some cars do. The question is who is tracking you and why or arn't they and should they be allowed to. I think they are good for saftey but I think the abuse of camara usage could occur very easly with out anyone knowing.
I think manufacturers are installing GPS as an anti-theft device in newer cars, but then where are the limitations on people being able to track every move you make. I drove a crapped out minivan with an art business ad all over the windows. I got so sick of people telling me they knew where I was all the time. Have you seen Gattica? It's the way our world is headed. I think parents are clueless these days. To even consider placing a camera in your child's room is just wrong on so many levels. If there were open lines of communication between parents and their children the spy camera business wouldn't be so lucrative.
