a few days ago my watch died :( and i was so sad, but finally today i got a chance to run to the store to get a new battery put in it :) but when i told them that i just had a new one put in over the summer they told me that something is wrong with the watch (no kidding) :(, and i have to send it in to the fossil people to get fixed. But i need it now!!! there's a engineering career fair on wed that i NEED a watch for, it's absolutly a necessity of mine!!! ;)
but i left the fossil store and on my way out of the mall, i was walking through what used to be Burdines, "The Florida Store" then Burdines-Macy's, and now somehow siimply just Macy's... what ever happened to "the florida store"??? oh yeah, so i figured i have a credit card (that goes back to my mom!!!) for this store, well it's for Burdines-Macy's but it's gotta still work, and my birthday is kinda coming up, kinda, in a few months... so i, well she got me a birthday present!!! thanks mom!!! its nothing special, but it was relatively cheap yet i guess i could play it off as being nice and dressy, so here it is!!! and what's even better, Look at that second hand go!!! (again, probably more exciting actually looking at it and seeing it go!!! ;)

ok, so back on jan 22nd we did a habitat for humanity thing here in miami, here's a pic of all of us on a big mound of what probably is by now, the foundation of one of the houses...




ok, so then on the 26th we did out row for humanity thing, 12 hours of erging in the middle of campus out in the sun... geez! ok, so in the first pic im in the middle and in the second im up in the front row, maybe you can guess where from the shirt colors...

oh, :( my watch battery died :( it happened at 2:48 pm. i feel like such a moron, i was messing around before i had to go to class, all the while not realizing that it was getting pretty darn close to class time and i was way across campus... good thing i looked at my phone 10 minutes before class started though, just enough time to jump on the shuttle and get to class. but I'm still sad about my little watch :( i just changed the battery last year in april... i didn't think watch batteries die that fast. maybe it's time to get a new watch ;) this one is a banged up and all... well, we'll see. but here it is, it's a little more dramatic in motion being as the second hand isn't moving, but you can get the idea from the pic... the second hand isn't moving :( none of the hands are :(

Valentines Day...

Yeah, whatever, I never do anything on Valentine's Day. Just a silly day I guess, but here are a few things for the big day:

So I flipped my day calendar and this popped up to remind me of valentines day, just in case I forgot that it was today (actually it has been helpful informing me of such days as groundhog's day, I totally forgot about that one)



Ok, so that was the little cartoon for today, "I need to really get a life when the only valentine I get is from my dog..." well hell, I didn't even get a valentine from my dog. But I did get one from my parents:



So instead of a loving little message, I get a card telling cupid to stay away from me, geez, come on now...

And then to end this little thing, I thought I'd throw in a few pictures of these heart shaped boxes of chocolate I picked up at the store the other day. I thought they were really cute and had to get them, aside from the fact that I have noone to give them to. They are probably gonna go to my roommates. (I had contemplated keeping them for myself, but we all know I don't need em...) oh, so here they are (cute, eh?):

Wow, I haven't heard that song in forever! It was huge back in the summer before my freshman year of college (2001) somehow my summer rowing team adopted that song as our own anthem that year, as our little pump us up song, or something. what a song to use, geez!

But after practically 4 years of not hearing it, listening to it this morning in the car driving home from the marina with Karen, we were still both able to belt out the entire song, crazy eh?

It's amazing how a song about some girl adamant that she "had" to be a whore in order to survive and then some other guy telling her off really made it so far, not to mention, stuck in our heads so well.
