I went rollerblading on the Tonawanda bike path this morning. It was really nice. I've only been on it twice; the other time was last year on bike. It was a lot of fun but windy.
I was amazed at the number of people fishing. Grossed out was more like it. They were fishing 100 yards from some rusting industrial waste processing system. I bet they eat the fish too.

RollerbladesAlas I don't have pictures, but I'll make sure I get some this weekend.
I bought a pair of rollerblades. I haven't rollerbladed since 5th grade.
I didn't realize that the one's I bought don't have brakes.
I don't know how to stop & it looks really fucking funny when I try to stop.
Look for me on elmwood and prepare to laugh.
It's a totally different workout then I am used to for my legs, stomach and back. I wish there was some type of die you could rub on yourself that would turn colors to show you what muscles were being used. Like blue for inactive muscles and red for actives ones. I think it would be a cool experiment.
:oP

That's a good idea... for the dye... everytime I get toward the end of an exercise and my form gets kinda sloppy it would be interesting to see what muscles I use to keep the movement going so I could learn how to keep from doing it and maximize muscle seperartion.

Al GoreCategory: screwed
Lately he's been popping up all over the place. He was on SNL last week I guess and he's in this month's issue of Men's Health.
The more I see him, the more I like him. Anyone that can get so royally screwed like he did and then come back and poke fun at the whole thing is cool with me.
I found his 4 guideline's interesting:
1. When a direction feels right, go that way to find out why. fulfillment usually follows.
2. Solve one problem. You amay find you're inspired to solve more.
3. There are a lot of us on the planet, and we do a lot of damage. We can also fix a lot of things, if we chose.
4. Everyone needs a purpose in life. Even puppies.

WTF Apple?!Anyone else have a Mac and was using it when safari crashed and everything reset itself as if you had just turned the machine on for the first time?
It happened to my desktop and then I logged into it from my powerbook and the powerbook did the same thing. I lost everything, bookmarks, address book files, fuckuckfuck
One another note, Growing up Gotti is fucking hysterical. I've never seen a family do so little. I estimate I've been watching four solid hours.

well safari is crashing on me ALL-THE-TIME lately. Usually when i'm on estrip, but then again I'm always on estrip, so it might be coincidence. Once it went all default on me, but usually I just relaunch and it's ok. (or switch to firefox). Good luck...

easy on tonawanda...it's ok...
anyway that path actually begins somewhere in the Erie Basin Marina, follows the niagara river, and cuts all the way down to the tonawanda/ north tonawanda border, which is a short distance from a path that follows a quite a few beautiful miles of the erie canal.
there is also another path in canada that starts in Fort Erie then splits into a path to Toronto or Niagara on the Lake. This ones nice....
There are paths that follow the old train tracks deep into the niagara falls gorge as well as paths that stay on top. I think this one starts under the north grand island bridge in LaSalle and goes into Lewiston then Fort Niagara along the "bob."
Amherst is also biker friendly with paths that go to Rochester and beyond. My buddy rides his bike back and forth to Darien Lake (round trip 65 miles) along these paths and some roads.
I will never visit that health forsaken wasteland again. Tonawanda be gone. I spent way too much time there in my formative years.
where's the tonowanda bike path? I was so excited to go on the paths around here then I did it and was like 'ok, that was 2 miles. Now what?'
