early morning rage

it is 6:46 AM and there is a f***in Kenmore taxi cab sitting outside my building honking for his passenger, because he is too f***in lazy to a) get out of his car and ring the doorbell or b) use his phone to call this person. they probably live on the other side of the building and can't even hear this a**hole honking.

i'm also pissed because, as usual, this wonderful city which people think is so great and handles weather so well, has not sent the plows down Elmwood anytime recently, and hasn't sent it down Lexington AT ALL (because it never, and i mean never, sends a plow down Lexington, so we just have to drive in snow for days). i wouldn't care about the roads being messy so much, if i didn't have to drive to student teach! the last time it snowed and i had to drive to the school, i had an accident because the road was slick. that doesn't make me a happy winter driver. haven't you people ever heard of a snow day?

No kidding! I once called because I literally saw someone breaking into one of the lower apartments in my building, and 9-1-1 did not respond until 3 hours after I first called it in! The whole time I was thinking, "Man, I hope someone isn't dead in that apartment right now..."

certification exams and the martini bar

Hooray! I have finally just completed my third and final teacher certification exam! This is one of the most relieving feelings in the world (pending of course, that I actually passed the exam)! To celebrate, we are hitting up the Martini Bar at Cecelia's on Elmwood, with hopefully a repeat of last weekend's fun adventures!
