Tour De FarmsCategory: biking
I didn't go in the morning because I was tired. In fact I didn't even really get out of bed till noon. I also was afraid of making my slipped disk worse.
Then (e:yesthatcasey)'s bike broke down, I went to go get him at the Clinton Bailey market. That will be its own journal.
Afterwards, at around 2pm I can home and felt like I could either program more or bike. Then I started to bike toward Alden and decided that I would just go catch up. Giung about 20mph I made it by 4pm to the Oles farm and ate and drank beer with the guys.
It was the first time I was alone with my Samsung gear live watch. Having it made the bike ride so much better. I was able to change music, text (e:Joe), get directions all without having to slowdown to get out my phone. It also feels a lot safer than biking and trying to use a phone.
Google took me down Walden which is pretty scary by the galleria because of the crazy traffic. Once I past depew it had me head over toward Lancaster and onto the heritage bike trail.
The trail was amazing and offered a lot of side hiking trails that seemed pretty cool. I also saw a lot of animals from beaver to horses and cows.
When I got to the farm I was freezing and wet from sweat but it was worth it to not feel like I couldn't do it despite my stupid slipped disk.

Hawaii Moves HomelessCategory: homeless
When I first saw the headline, that Hawaii is moving its homeless people I joked they were moving them into a concentration camp. Turns out it wasn't a joke. Weird.
The city also is planning a temporary legal campsite on a remote, mostly industrial island far from resorts. Some of Oahu’s estimated 4,700 homeless people would be allowed to camp on Sand Island, which was used during World War II as an internment camp for Japanese-Americans and is home to a wastewater treatment plant and former dump.
