The art project known as Community Canvases and the Elmwood Village Association announced today that local artists will be transforming utility boxes and other structures along Elmwood Avenue into art installations. The organization's first event happened along Tonawanda Street in August.
According to EVA Executive Director Carly Battin, artists will begin making their work on Saturday morning. Stay tuned to this space for some pictures of the completed work.

So Just need to add that on my way home from counseling today I noticed more boxes painted one right in front of blue monk and one by forrest so maybe some more pictures to take on wends. we shall see....
My guess is that they won't I think the taggers get that this is street art but not sure... Maybe I'm biased since I've seen some really amazing Tags on trains to and from work I don't just mean lettering I've seen some cool ones with faces and brick walls and stuff we shall see.....
These are pretty cool! I hope they just don't get tagged and taped over like all the normal ones.
