Feeling old....

Wow. My sister just made her first communion.
I can hardly believe that it was almost 9 years ago that she was born.

Furthermore, I can't believe that I am staring straight into my 22nd. birthday.

Everybody just keeps growing up...

My feet hurt...

Went to Will's art show, which was good, then went out with him, Andy, and Carl. We went to the no name bar on the corner of bidwell and elmwood, gabriels gate, and frizzy's. Good time.
Tired, tho.

And my feet hurt.
Ah well...

My 22nd. Birthday
I havent updated here in a long time, and since the week was my birthday, i figured i would put the play by play in here, even tho no one will read it, or, for that matter, care much.

On Thursday, Molly and Jaime picked me up and we went to get my hair cut, which is now super cute. (Jaime bought me a haircut for my birthday.) After that we went to Prime Outlets to go to Old Navy, because my fabulous friends Molly, Chelsea, Will, and Andy chipped into to get me 100$ gift certificate. So I got a skirt, a pair of jeans, a purse, and 5 shirts, and got Jaime a skirt and a shirt in exchange for dinner. I heart Jaime and Molly, because they put me in a super good mood.
We dinner ate at Burger King and then Molly got me ice cream, and then we headed out to the Res to get cigs for the weekend, which excited Jaime and Molly because they love the camel twists, and they are only 3.50 on the reservation, as opposed to 7$ in the store. Then we went back to my place and hung out for a bit until it was WAY too hot.
So we went to Doug's, and accidentally ended up crashing band practice.

I got to see Nick. And it turns out that his lack of a reply about dinner on my birthday was because he intended to surprise me, and now I'm kind of sad I ruined the surprise by pestering him. But then, I would have been pissed all day if he hadn't responded. I later found out that even my MOTHER knew he was going to surprise me.

So, while at Doug's, I made a decision.
I couldn't invite Nick and Doug out with us the following night because Will was going.
Of course, he never said I couldn't invite his replacement.
So I invited Kyle.
Haha.

After, Molly drove me home and I watched TV for a bit before going to bed. I woke up Friday and did laundry, made some phone calls, and did some other stuff, then spent an hour getting my hair and makeup perfect only to have it all sweat off due to the extreame toastiness of my house.
I redid all that, got dressed, Andy picked me up, and we went to get Kevin.

I went to Club Miami to see Black Widow play for my birthday. Jaime, Chelsea, Molly, Andy, Kevin, Will, and Kyle, and Kyle's friend Chip came with.

Highlights:
~Toasting to Jackassery in all its forms...but mainly just the one. You know, the ridiculous one.
~Drunk dialing Liz.
~Drunk dialing Rick.
~Having Kevin drunk dial Steve and tell him he's ridiculous.
~Listening to Kyle get up and sing with the band to Sweet Child of Mine and You Shook Me All Night Long.
~Dancing like idiots.
~Doing a great many shots of Cuervo.
~Telling Molly not to do anything I wouldn't do.
~Trying to convince Will that working at 6am didn't have to stop him from getting piss drunk.
~Hiding from the bouncer that has been stalking me since October. (Goddamned wench!!!)
~Plotting Dennis' demise with Kevin when he never showed up.
~I drank a long island iced tea for the first time, which should be renamed "bucket of alcohol."
~I also learned how to do a proper tequila shot, thanks to Kyle. Which was probably the best part, because after years of paying homage to Jose, I never did learn how the whole salt-tequila-lime thing worked.

Afterward, I went to Olympic with Kev and Andy, as opposed to going to whatever shindig Doug was having that night with Molly.
Because I was plastered. And sobering up at Olympic was probably a better idea then being drunk at Doug's was.
Saturday I went to the Allentown Art Festival and Music is Art with Jaime and Andy. We walked around a bit, got really tired, and then went to see the band play.
And...I got to see JOANNE! (Who is my other mother.)
Anyhoo...MYS was good, except for the fact that Doug almost killed himself when his foot got wrapped in wires and he fell down. Plus, Kyle's guitar came unplugged mid song, which was not cool. The Voodoo Dollies we're ok, I suppose. They're not my type of music, but they played well.
Nicki was excellent in both bands, of course.

Sunday Mom made me chicken enchiladas, which was my original b-day dinner but had been postponed due to mom's addicts needing a hit of spaghetti ASAP.
My parents gave me my gift, which is a VCR/DVD player. Which also plays CD's, so it's time to kiss Jaime's old stereo goodbye.
And apparently my sister and I got my parents a digital camera for their anniversary. Which is good, because we didn't get them anything else.

Jaime, Andy, Chelsea, and Will came over after and we played Trivial Pursuit, which Chelsea kicked our asses in. Then Andy and I taught them Mile Bornes. Which was fun, but sort of a hassle at the same time.
After that Jaime went on yet another kamikaze birthday mission because Dennis was not responding to my IM's about dinner tomorrow. And since he also never showed up on Friday, I was not above hopping the fence and kicking some butt.

Monday was my official birthday.
I spent the afternoon babysitting my goddaughter Dolores (whose photo was on the Picture Page in the paper that day!) and I got to see Beth for a little bit.
After they left, I took a shower and got ready for dinner.
Kevin got me a beer for my birthday (typical Kevin.) Ka gave me cash, Joanne got me candles, and Nicki got me bath stuff. I also got the CD player my parents got me prior to getting me the dvd/vcr.
Dinner was...interesting.

It sort of ended up being a religious persecution drinking game. Let me explain.

Mom made her famous spaghetti, and there were more people at the dinner table then there is on Thanksgiving. Of course, aside from my immediate family, I was only actually related to one of them.

It was me, my parents, my sister, my aunt Ka, Sharon, Kevin, Joanne, Nick, and Dennis.
My aunt is a nun.
Joanne lives in N. Carolina, which is apparently a big anti-catholic area.
My mother and Sharon used to be nuns.
I have very different views from the Catholic Church.
Kevin has very bizarre views that vary of those of the Catholic Church.
Nick is Wiccan.

Chaos ensued.

It seemed though, that every time someone one said something that made you want to throw a dinner roll across the table, you took a swig of wine. I am surprised that by the end of the night Nick wasn't chugging straight from the bottle.

We were all a little drunk by the time dessert arrived.

It was amusing.
But it was a lot of fun, and I really want to do that again sometime.
Sans religious discussions, however. Maybe next time we can talk politics, and then have a triple homicide to deal with...

After dinner Kara showed up because she got a new car, and Dennis and I went with her to her house, and then to Kevin's. About 10 minutes later we went back to her house to pick up a game and to get her friend Sarah, then went back to Kev's to play said game.
Afterwards, Kara left, saying that she would be back soon.
She did not return. Thus, Dennis and I were stranded.

I talked to Jaime for a bit about all that ridiculousness...and then the ridiculousness stopped. And it made my day significantly brighter.
Kelly called Kevin, and her and Scott picked up up and we went to get Dan, then went to their house for a bit.

Yesterday was my parent's 25th wedding anniversary. They went to dinner with friends, and then came back to have dessert here. Then we watched Spanglish.
Today I went to a new doctor, and myJaime, Will, Andy, Chelsea, and RIck stopped by.
I am now officially done with this week long birthday celebration, and I need a nap. (I take that back...I'm done til this weekend, seeing as how Katy, Rick and Sam are taking me on a picnic.)
