Calamari Fritti
(e:terry) and I collborated on the making of Calamari Fritti. They are delicioso. The recipe:

Pull the freakin brains out of the Calamari. That was my job. You can see them in the strainer. I thought it was gross, but ntohing beats (e:robin) 's blackberry story.

The next step is breading with flour, corn meal, salt, pepper, oregano and just a dash of basil. The (e:terry) fried them in canola oil. It has a higher frying temp than olive oil. Last heast up some tomato sauce and enjoy.

Oxytocin Trust

University students who inhaled the hormone in a nasal spray were discovered to be far more trusting of one another -- eager, in fact, to hand over money to strangers in investment deals.

The results suggest trust can be bottled and used to forge commercial relationships. Quoted from: The Globe and Mail: Building trust via nasal spray

This sounds like the most horrible discovery ever. I could easily be used to bend reality and create a totally fictional adherence to "truth and justice." I would rest easier if I just didn't know it existed. It kind of explains the concept of the sex vixen spy agent.

Working at the rose garden
It was so hot out today. They have already begun constructing the shakespeare in the park pavillion with a crane. The tulips loook great in the rose garden but the roses are
suffering from some sort of disease. I hope make it out.

Rose garden, then printing flyers
I am off to the rose garden to go help my mother volunteer. Then I am going to have more flyers printed. One set for everyday use and one for pride weekend. They are mini size bookmark flyers so that I print 14 to a page. That way I feel they are more environmentally responsible. Here is a preview, there may be more, depending how much time I have between writing letters, writing thesis. coding, and eating.

The new general use flyer with more to come.

I hate the phone
I hate telephones. Especially, the kind that live in one place and can't move like mine. I would prefer to just use email because we have one phone, that is never charged, upstairs and away from everything. It makes it just about impossible to deal with phone calls. I am available in like 600 other ways, just not the phone anymore. Unfortunately, I have to occasionally interface with the rest of the world that still uses the telephone.

Like when our friends call to do something. there is a 99% better chance you could reach me via IM, SMS, (e:strip) or simply email. I always have it with me on my sidekick. i refuse to use the sidekick as a phone because it costs $.20/minute and I am poor. The internet features, however, are unlimited for $29/month.

Another example, my former boss has been trying to get ahold of me because I sent the chair of the department an emailrequesting my former job back. I know, I now, everyone thinks that makes me a loser (and it does) but I want to be able to have time in case that Boston non-profit job pans out but to also be able to eat.

If i got the non-profit job too(sidenote: I don't get my hopes up about jobs anymore), then I would be teaching adv web programming, doing advanced web programming and teaching graphic design on the side..

So anyways, we have been playing phone tag for three days.

In his message he said he would call back tonight around 8PM. Hopefully, it works out and I at least can make enough money to eat and live while I deal with everything else and find an appropriate job for my skill level.
