Update-a-doodle-dandy
Category: estrip
There were a bunch of updates today, most of them won't be obvious on the surface but I will recap the ones that are.

1. New temporary look while I transition from one display code set to another.
2. p:labs Site Wide Student loan calculator, if you are a member and owe student loans, don't forget to add your in. We are currently at $281,899 with only a couple of us tabulated.
3. Mass messenging system, now allows you to send site post-its to more than one user at a time. I had a hard time deciding about this, but seeing as they are hard coded to come from the user that sent them, I think we can avoid any abuse. SMS is not supported in mass mailing yet, we will see how it goes first before enabling SMS support. This mass messenging feature is only available for members and can be found as a link in your post it control panel.

New - Mass Messages
Category: estrip
You now can send post-it messages to mulitple members, making it easier to invite people to parties, announce things, etc. To use this feature, you must be logged in. Click on your post-it control panel and then click on the (send messages) link that appears next to your messages.

From there you can toggle the user list box, select the users you wantto send to and create the message. The message automatically comes from you. If anyone misuses the messaging system, their messaging privileges will be removed.

Messages sent in this format are currently not forwarded to SMS as are regular post-its. I may change my mind on this in the near future.

p:labs Student Loan Calculator
Category: debt
Check it out, I made a a little site wide student loan calculator to see how much we owe in student loans as a group. Each memeber is allowed to input into the chart once. Youc an always delete your entry if you made a mistake or want to remove it.

It is probably some outrageous amount. Do you think it could be $1 million? To get there click on the p:labs link at the top and then click the link to the student loans calc.

Music is Art
I just saw the ntry that (e:metalpeter) wrote [inlink]metalpeter,358[/inlink] about Music is Art Festival 2005 and it reminded me that I wanted to post a link to the event info on the calendar.

Here is a link to the main site musicisart.org/ . Here is a direct link to the MIA schedule

It has something to do qwith chamleon west music studies. I am not a big fan of the tacky flash website. But musicians arn't necessarily visual artists, haha. Here is a video message from Robbie Goo on their site.

The festival is here (MAP TO: 510 FRANKLIN ST)

Here is a web gallery I found of images from the event last year. Maybe it is from (e:metalpeter) 's own gallery.
