it has been at least 5 years since i have read The Great Gatsby
i have to teach it to city kids in two weeks
i am trying to read it, and i can't make myself focus
how am i gonna get 16-year-olds to focus on this book, when i can't even read it myself?
this is a nightmare
on the bright side, i have been very productive the last couple days.
RJ and i have 4 appointments set up to look at apartments back on the other side of new york state when we are home for easter break.
it's about time we get out of this city.

last day at KMSI am very sad, on the verge of spilling tears.
It was my last day at Kenmroe Middle School and I am going to miss my kids more than I ever could have imagined. They threw me a party and some of them got me presents, and they made me huge cards that every kid signed.
It was really touching.
A bunch of them said they didn't want me to leave.
I asked the Math teacher down the hall if all the student teachers got this reaction when they left and she said no, and that I should be proud of myself.
