visions in the night
Category: dreams
I dreamed that Ruby ate huge holes in all my jeans and so I have to buy new ones. I bought them, but i couldn't find them. Turns out real life had turned into a type of Second Life and my pants were in my inventory. I had to click and drag to get them out.

olfactory memories
today i remembered...

the smell of warm spring rain on fresh grass just born
and the smell of the warm asphalt in the evening after a rain shower as the twlight sky danced above

ps: to the girl who lives below me, if you ever read this, i think i heard you singing as i walked up the stairs this evening. you have a beautiful voice.

can I see some ID for that?
So, Wegmans has this 100% proof policy now for buying alcohol. RJ and I were in line and the cashier in the next line over asked a man if he had ID for the Labatt he was buying. He said, "Are you serious?!" and sort of did a half-laugh half-annoyed noise. I turned to look at the man and found that he had to be at least 75-years-old. That is the funniest thing ever. The poor guy prolly hasn't had to show ID for 50 years.

daydreaming
The journey home
Is never too long
Your heart arrives before train
The journey home
Is never too long
Some yesterdays always remain

I'm going back to where my heart was light
When my pillow was a ship I sailed through the night

The journey home is never too long
When open arms are waiting there
The journey home is never too long
There's room to love and room to spare

I want to feel the way I did there
And think my wishes through before I wish again

The journey home is never too long
Home hopes to heal the deepest pain
The journey home is never too long
Your heart arrives before the train

Not every boat you come across is one you have to take
Now sometimes standing still can be the best move you ever make.

So, just for the record, every time you see something about Pano contributing to the community by giving scholarships, take a look at the requirements, which are the same every year (they just came in my email from BSC):

Pano Scholarship
*Awarded to students with financial need
*Must be a BSC student
*Must be a sophomore, junior or senior
*Single-mother over 25 or an ethnic minority
*Scholarship funds will be disbursed for the spring 2005 term
*Deadline - December 1, 2004

Thanks for the help Mr. Big Shot entrepreneur. I am definitely not a single-mother of 25 nor an ethnic minority, but I am a college student and I am poor.
