- My dog has a southern accent.
- People are *not* nicer in the south - only superficially so.
- It gets hot here.
- My showshoes sit lonely and neglected.
- They have snakes.
- There is no Elmwood Strip, no Chippewa, no Franklin, and most importantly, no Mighty Taco!
- Buffalo's really not such a bad place.
- Rapidly growing cities don't have the character of old cities.
- The biscuits and gravy are excellent.
- The pizza and wings are not.
- Labatt Blue is found in the specialty beer store.
- Blizzards are much better than tornados.

Hmm... the list sounds a lot more negative than I intended - let's try from the other side:

- It's warm out more often than not.
- Heating bills are minimal.
- No snow tires, bags of rock salt, sand, shovels and other fun.
- No worrying that you can't find the one missing glove.
- Clear blue skies are the norm.
- Average pecan pie quality seems far improved.
- Jack Daniels distillery is just down yonder.
