Sweet Helmets
Category: clothes
They had a massive armor exhibit at the met. It was so neat to see all the differences in helmets. Only one of hundreds of body suits gad that protrusion. Wonder what it says about the owner? I would think you wouldn't want to make a target out of it by drawing attention to it.

The Armor looks pretty cool.... In terms of the first helmet Not sure why they put so much art work into it maybe it means something or maybe that is how things where back then... I'm sure shape wise it is for some kind of face protection...

Superdry? Jeans

What kind of advertisement is that for an ass?

And it's a totally flat ass, too! Definitely, a bad wardrobe choice!

Superdry is an UK jean company. Logos on butts are common for some American clothing stores such as Victoria's Secret, Hollister, etc.

The chelsea market had so many awesome food shops including a seafood market that had a multitude of oysters you could get shucked on the spot.

The Moma
Category: art
I didn't love it like the met but it was interesting. Part of it was that we went when it was free and a madhouse.

I had seen many of the peices before which also made it not as exciting and I'm not a huge fan of paintings in general.

I definately prefer design amd art with more of a physical purpose. Say architecture, furniture, clothing etc. That beind said I really liked the picture if the men fighting.

Fruit Retrospective
Category: food
At thr met they had this wax fruit centerpeice from the 1800s. It was so interesting to see the fruit was anything but perfect. With my experience from the pear tree, I can tell you that bruised, super ripe, juicy fruit tastes the best. But imagine if this was made now. People would instead think it was disgusting. In fact, I bet most people would through fruit that looked like that out. According to the placard, the fruit was all actually cast from real fruit.

those strawberries look like those miniature things you have in your backyard!
tinypliny - 02/17/12 12:25
yes, but you forget the organic brigade who would probably drool all over this because of the ugly=organic fashionable connotation. It was probably all organic back then.
