Health Insurance

Ain't Internet wonderful?

Here's a speech by Richard "tricky dick" Nixon, calling for a (drumroll please) universal health insurance for all Americans! [link=http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/ws/index.php?pid=4337] Read it here. [/link]
It's amazing to see that the arguments remain the same, but the number of uninsured keeps going up...

It's that time of the year: when Buffalo becomes warmer than SF. And I miss summers in Buffalo.

But that's not why I'm here. This, my friends, is what makes SF so worthwhile: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/15/fashion/15commune.html
I will keep my mouth shut, but I love this city......

I remember January used to be the worst in Buffalo, in terms of weather. In terms of morale, I think February was the worst. For some reason I always felt that once January rolled around, winter should be over; when in reality, that witch was just getting started....

The next couple of days look quite mean; stay warm, (peeps)!
And remember: one of the best ways to keep warm is to cuddle with a fellow human being, preferably naked so you can really share the body heat......

Setting aside all political angles: it does feel good that someone about to enter the WhiteHouse uses Flickr to update his/her friends.

Today I was flipping channels and happened to cross ESPN2 just as the announcer mentioned "Turner Gill and his Buffalo Bulls...." ..... say whaaaat? Turns out [hilite]the Bulls are in a bowl game!! [/hilite] It's the "International Bowl", being played in Toronto; but telecast live on ESPN2 tomorrow at 9AM Pacific!!

Unfortunately, I won't be able to watch it; but GO BULLS!!

So how was it?

So how was your 2008? Lets have a recap post here, please.

My 2008 started like all the years past: with a hangover and low expectations. But then, in rode Obama from the frozen cornfields of Iowa, with the promise of change, prosperity and a new direction for the country; and I got involved in the campaign (well, for that, and to meet hot hippie chicks with high hopes and low inhibitions). I also got involved in Proposition 2 (the Animal Rights one), more-or-less for the same reasons. And I was not disappointed.....

Summer flew by. Summer in SF always flies by. It feels like friggin' winter, for cryin' out loud!!

Fall took me to Reno to do door-to-door campaigning for Obama. Saw a whole new 'Mericuh out there. The geniuses in the campaign sent me to neighborhoods where each house (which didn't have a 'foreclosed' sign) had 2 souped-up pickup trucks, 3 dirt-bikes and a pitbull drooling to get his fangs on a free-range veggie guy.

November 4 was special.... went to a bar to watch the election results live... made out with a stranger as the announcement was made. Victory sex is all what it's cracked up to be, and then some.

Dating scene was the same throughout the year... met some interesting women, met a few verrry interesting ones, and some crazies. Did some stupid things, but came out OK. What is life without doing stupid things once in a while??

So here's to doing more stupid things in 2009! (toast)

Well, d'uh!

Here's an earth-shattering result from a recent study: Teens who take virginity pledges are just as likely to have sex as teens who don't take such pledges: http://health.usnews.com/articles/health/healthday/2008/12/29/many-teens-dont-keep-virginity-pledges.html

Hey, if the President can break his pledge to defend the Constitution, why can't a teen break his/her pledge to defend his/her virginity?

On another note: when are they going to kick Jauron out?? Lets get rid of him and hire Mangini. At least Mangini knows how to win 10 games.

No wonder...

Lately I've not been having much success in flirting with women. Something seems wrong; my mojo just isn't working.

I was beginning to wonder if it was just me; then I came across this study: http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/internetprivacy/2008-12-09-high-tech-flirting_N.htm

Turns out, I've been doing it all wrong. All this time while I was actually winking and talking to the chicks, I should've been sending them pics of Mr. Johnson!

Next time I'm on a date, I'll quickly excuse myself to go to the men's room and then BAM! send her a picture from inside. By the time I come back, she'll be practically begging me to take her home.

Seriously... WTF?

Just read this story and was dumbfounded: http://www.wlbt.com/Global/story.asp?S=9317315

Seriously. What is wrong with these people? Idiots like these (school administration in the story) do more harm to America than BinLaden ever could dream of.
