Webnovice's Journal from 07/2009

07/23/09 10:42 - 67.ºF - ID#49360Long time no blog
Well, felt the need to reach out and say hello.... it's been a long time since I last blogged here... I'm finding that the twitter and facebook short "what are you doing" questions tend to meet my need for simple, short interactions online. I can quickly get the summary about my friends and return to my life in progress.

My new job is going well... finally able to sit and create web content without getting pulled in multiple directions. It is weird to never have my phone ring anymore, but I'm getting used to it.

Wishing the weather would improve... my garden is water-logged, our tomatoes are not ripening... and I have to warn you all that those "upside-down hang your garden bag gadgets" have a major flaw. We have one tomato plant growing in one. The rest of our plants are in the regular garden. The hanging plant looks great, but its tomatoes are turning black from a lack of nutrients. Even though we are giving it fertilizer, there is something missing from not being in the ground. I'm hoping that we caught onto the issue fast enough to save the next batch of tomatoes it is trying to grow...but I'm unsure if they will be OK.

I'll try not to be away so long next time!

OK, no blogs for months and now two in a moment big_grin But I just realized that I had an out of date email associated with this system. No wonder I was so out of touch!

I find that the "little" details tend to be the ones that mess me up the most. Some people think I'm organized... I'm not. That's just the smoke and mirrors!
