Kidney Stones?

Man, I was having a great day at work, I got so much stuff done. Then on the way to the gym, bam, serious throbbing pain in my left kidney. It's weird, and it scary and painful and seems to get worse. It so isolated to that one side/spot and it not in the muscle.

So I look that up and kidney stones sound like that. Now I wonder if the milkshake for breakfast, milkshake before bed every night for six months was a bad idea. It was really helping me gain weight and milk makes my crohns better.

Someone suggested drinking lemon juice and water. I tried that. I hope this just ends easily as I am not in the mood for the hospital this evening or any evening.

I guess could be something else but what else causes kidney pain? It's givig me that impending doom feeling I got the night my appendix decided to die. Luckily, although this can be seriously painful I don't think it is at all life threatening. Who knows, maybe I will just wake up and t will be gone. I hope so because the retarded nurse wrote on my record that I am allergic to opiates after I got itchy during the appendix nightmare.

Oh great, I just found this too
[box] Kidney stones are more common in Crohn's patients with disease of the small intestine than in the general population because of fat malabsorption. Fat binds to calcium, leaving oxalate (a type of salt) free to be absorbed and deposited in the kidney, where it can form into stones. [/box]

That probably also explains my endless ability to b thin no matter how many milkshakes I drink.

It seems so impossible

I found this at a while back when researching Niagara Falls. It seems incredible we could shut off the American falls. I wonder how huge the other falls look to the right of there?

Fun experiments with CSS

I made these when I was first mixing PHP with CSS positioning back in early 2000. Now I recognize there was no need for the PHP part as it could all easily been done with javascript.

I hate facebook

I am so sick of hearing about how everything has to be exactly like facebook in terms of webdesign.

I worked on an inline editor widget for some internal project at work and it allowed you to just double click to edit and hit return to save. Esc to cancel out.

Apparently, people "would not be able to get that" even though the title text clearly stated it so I had to make it "more like face freakin book" It has to be like facebook because that is the only thing people could possibly understand.

I through in an even stupider cancel button for people who can't handle the esc button.

Flight 3407

I feel bad for the families but does WGRZ channel 2 really still need it in their news tab dropdown - right at the top. Is there any new coverage, ever?

swine flu shot

After my success with the flu shot, I decided to give the swine flu
shot a shot. I figured enough people have had it at this point, that
if there was a problem, we would hear about it.
