Nice try, lady

I don't know if anyone's seen this, or if it's already been posted up on someone else's journal here but take a look at this woman who totally hosed herself by trying to buy up all the iPhones at an AT&T store in Dallas yesterday.

LO freakin' L.

Grungetown

In a few weeks I'm going to Seattle to attend a conference for work. I'm leaving a day earlier than I normally would so I can take in some sights since this is probably the only time I'll ever get out there. I'm staying at the Marriott Waterfront
(I think I can see where the ferry docks outside my room's window!). It looks like there's going to be a lot within walking distance since it's right downtown.

For those that have been there before: Any suggestions on some sights I can take in or things I can do while I'm there? Besides tracking down Seattle Grace Hospital that is, lol. I mean I'll probably hit the Space Needle and take a ferry ride across Puget Sound, but after that I don't quite know what there is to do. I could probably just ask Google or Wikipedia but I'd like some personal opinions or suggestions from those that have been there, too.

Edit: Um, why is my map showing NYC instead of my hotel?

Golf, Sheridan Drive style

Last night I took Delaney to Putt Putt for the first time. Or whatever they're calling it these days... "Adventure Island" or something I think.

Yeah, she's definitely not ready for that yet. She would hit the ball with her club (sometimes sideways, lol) and then run up to it, pick it up, and drop it in the hole with a big giggle. I did my best to instruct her properly but I didn't want to be raining on her parade. I mean, she is 3 after all. By the 13th hole (which took us maybe 10 minutes to get to at the rate we were flying through) she was "soooo" tired and just had to sit down. I may have a future drama queen on my hands!

That's one thing I'm torn about though (maybe "torn" is too strong a word). At what point do you stop instructing, and just let the kid be a kid? I don't want to be that dad that's always correcting and making sure his kids "do it the right way" when it comes to stuff like that but I also don't want to not be offering any guidance at all...

I think the key is taking a step back when she says "Dad, I can do it myself!" and just let her hit the ball sideways.
