Moving Right Along

Well, almost done, and let me tell you it's been hell. The plants all made it in one piece. Now we just have the animals to bring. Here are some shots from (e:paul) 's sidekick, my camera is packed in some random box. Oh and here is some good news, (e:southernyankee) is coming to town! That's more exciting than Santa Claus!

3 down, 2 to go...

Tonight was Chris's last night in B-lo. He'll be shipping back to sunny California tomorrow while we are frantically moving from humble abode to less humble abode. It's always a party when (e:paul) 's friend Chris is in town, even when he's obligated not to party. (e:jeremy) stopped by also. It's been a while and it was nice to catch up. All the cool friends moved out of this town it seems. A few exceptions with standing of course. Well, tomorrow is the Big Moving day! I'm excited to move into a new space, but not so excited about the actual labor needed to get the job done. The fish are going to be killer to move (and hopefully that won't be a literal statement), so will the houseplants (all 62 of them!). we'll let's give it a go...!

Have a good trip home Chris. Psst, nice belly

How To deal With An ear Infection

I decided to try and "drain" my infection out. [inlink]matthew,485[/inlink] Ear candling is a method of cleaning the ears, which allegedly alleviates a host of physical ailments. A hollow candle is stuck into the ear and lit. I don't know if it works, but what the hey. (e:paul) swears by it (i know, that doesn't prove anything). I needed to do something though. The pressure was driving me crazy! I do feel better, but it's hard to pin it on the candle.

Ear Infection

I just started feeling better from my cold, then at 5:00 this morning i was woken by an immense pain coming from my right ear. I hate ear infections. My head feels like it going to explode and i feel dizzy and nauseous. I looked up home remedies like onion or garlic oil, but it hasn't helped much. This sucks. I had a bad infection a few years ago and i remember it lasting forever with the worst pain. I'm going to call in sick to work and go see a doctor as soon as possible. i have no insurance so I'm sure it'll cost an enormous amount of money. I hate winter. Anyone else know of any at home remedies?

Acute otitis media is an inflammation of the area behind the eardrum (tympanic membrane) in the chamber called the middle ear. Deep within the outer ear canal is the eardrum. The eardrum is a thin, transparent membrane that vibrates in response to sound waves. The middle ear contains air and sits behind the eardrum. When the eardrum vibrates, tiny bones within the middle ear transmit the sound signals to the inner ear. In the inner ear, nerves are stimulated to relay the sound signals to the brain. The eustachian tube, which connects the middle ear to the nose, normally ventilates and equalizes pressure to the middle ear. When your ears "pop" when yawning or swallowing, the eustachian tube is adjusting the air pressure in the middle ear.Acute otitis media is an infection that produces pus, fluid, and inflammation within the middle ear.

Newest House Guest

(e:terry) 's younger sister Alex is staying with us. She, like Terry, is from Las Vegas. So Buffalo's weather is all new to her. Terry has the flu, so (e:paul) and I decided to take the role of Big Brother until terry is feeling better. I just ordered my first pizza. Here is Alex and I trying to find her bag. The airport help was very unhelpful.

Over 8,300 dead From Huge Earth Quake

The World Is Ending! Over 8,300 people were killed and thousands more are missing after the most powerful earthquake for 40 years triggered giant tidal waves that slammed into coastal areas across Asia. This Is unbelievable! 8,300 people! Here is the Story:

On another less destructive note: Basra is feeling the cold now too, I found this old knitted "tortoise sweater" that paul's grandmother made for his tortoises back in the day. It fits Big-B so i threw it on him. He doesn't seem to notice it at all.

Engage! Asteroid M

Hey, i really like the new color scheme, i made a bunch of winter banners to go with it. I'm still sick, i had to skip out on partying for the evening. Emily and Sang are leaving, but don't worry folks, we still got three more house guests to go! Oh yeah, and then the big move next week. I'm really excited about that. I'll post some photos of it. The new colors make me feel like I'm on Star Trek. Pretty sleek.

The Sky Is Falling!
Has anyone else heard about this huge asteroid that's hurling towards earth as we speak?!?! it's 1,300 feet long, and there is a 1 in 300 chance of it hitting earth on April 13th 2029! That's only 25 years away. I'm kinda freaked out. All those nightmares that would keep you up at night as a kid could be coming true. You might think that sounds dramatic now, but let's see when the huge rock is only t-10 seconds to go. Blam! check out what NASA has to say .

This May Seem Weird...

okay, this may seem weird i know, but i was online and i read an article about those dark circles people get under their eyes. I get them a lot. I always thought it was because i was tired, or stressed, but it seems to be something else. When you get older the skin around your eyes becomes thinner, causing the blood vessels to become more visable. They suggested, if you want to get rid of them, you should lie down on your back with your legs higher than your head and then place some cold potato slices on top of your eyes. Leave them there for 15 mins or so...and Voila! You'll look years younger! Dark bags Be Gone! Who needs "The Swan" when there are medical treatments such as these?!? Again, i know it seems weird that i would try this, but a boy needs to maintain his beauty, right? I know the ladies won't be complaining....unless they see this entry that is.
