E. T.erry the Extra-Terrestrial

I was watching E. T. tonight after the kid i was sitting for fell asleep. I haven't seen that movie since i was 6. It scarred the hell out of me at that age. It's still a bit freaky. The freakiest part about it though is that it has been re-done from it's original form and e. t. is no longer a puppet but now a C.G.I. animation. I think it looks more fake than the puppet and they should have left the film the way it was. Anyways, while watching it, i got the feeling that (e:terry) 's childhood was probably similar (minus the alien). That's all.

Elmwood Halloween

Elmwood held its annual Halloween trick or treat for the kiddy's today. very cute. I snapped some pics from my window. I felt kinda like an old weirdo watching the little kids from my window. Mwhaaa-hhaa-ha! but they had some great costumes. I think Halloween might be my favorite holiday. Primarily because there is no "Mr. J. C." involved. I'm gonna carve my pumpkin tomorrow, maybe even enter it into a contest.

Saturday In The garden

I just got back from helping plant tulip bulbs at the Delaware Park rose garden with (e:paul) and (e:terry) . The tulips won't come up till next spring, but we planted a million so they should look nice, that is if the squirrels don't get them first. Sneaky. Now I'm off to see my friends tammy in beth, it's been a while so it should be nice to see them again.
Action packed day for me today.

It's a Gray, Gray, World.

Well, the "gray season" in Buffalo seems to have begun. It won't end until June if we are lucky. I grew up in Buffalo and let me tell you, I hate the color gray. it's not quite black, it's not quite white either. It's more like the absence of light and everything good. Even the word "graaay" (said with a buffalo accent of course) sounds unpleasant and depressing. Gray, gray, gray, and more gray. Damn you color gray! Damn you to the gray hell you came from!

Bird City U.S.A.

[inlink]hotmama,3[/inlink] (e:hotmama) , i had the sausage too. it was good! skipped on the beer for obvious reasons.

I put up an outdoor bird feeder this summer, it seems my house has become quite the hang out place for the local buffalo sparrows. There was about 35 sparrows at one time feeding themselves on seed i bought at the the elmwood pet store. They seemed happy. The little monsters can empty the bird feeder in 1.5 days flat! see below...

it was hard work getting as many birds in the shot as possible. They'd fly as soon as i moved to snap the shot. i had to be very sneaky. Slowly they are getting accustomed to my friends and I moving about the living room.

Oh Happy Day!

After a long war with our landlord and even the city of Buffalo, we finally got out garbage & waste bins! This is cause for a celebration, we've been waiting to throw out our trash for quite some time. I can now check off the first item on my "wish list". Thanks city of Buffalo waste management!
